Cambian Group plc is one of the largest providers of specialist behavioural healthcare and education services in the UK. I joined shortly after the consolidation of two previously separate finance functions and worked extensively on strengthening systems, processes and controls. For most of 2016 my work focused on the disposal of Cambian’s Adult Services.

I worked at St Andrew's, one of the UK's largest mental healthcare providers during an exciting period of growth and change. This enabled me to make a real contribution to the organisation and I was promoted to Acting Chief Financial Officer for 12 months.

Responsible for logistics / imports as well as all aspects of finance including treasury and tax. Project oriented role as the company grew substantially, particularly through the development of new revenue streams and acquisition / integration of other buying groups.

At the time that I was there, Buck & Hickman was an autonomous subsidiary of a plc with a turnover of £90m. Joining as Financial Manager in 1996, promoted to Financial Controller in 1998 and Finance Director in 2000.
