My name is Clarissa Smith and I have many loves: I love pineapple-upside-down cheesecake; I love traveling and exploring the world; I love building and nurturing deep, authentic relationships; and I love translating complex concepts into understandable and relatable solutions through storytelling. Whew! For this reason, I am pursuing collaborative, cross-functional roles in marketing, innovation, and technology. I am a solutions-oriented and results-driven storyteller: From assisting in marketing the top digital product at Bizwatch Search Analytics, to my career in Sales closing over $30 million at the top, Fintech start-up, Lower.com, I have always made driving results and problem-solving with effective communication the stars of my roles. Completing my degree program from the prestigious Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University gave me the strategic, analytical, and communicative abilities to connect, empathize, and encourage people of all backgrounds. I even exercised these skills through my collegiate studies at the acclaimed Universidad de Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain, and assisting SPELD students within the South Central, Los Angeles area, by improving their mathematics comprehension and increasing their love of math. Anyone who knows me, knows I am continuously curious, not only emphasizing a leadership approach to my career, but a learning one as well. I have increased my technical knowledge and proficiency by pursuing Tableau and product marketing courses with LinkedIn Learning. This was done to help me excel better in future technical marketing roles. I am not all nuts and bolts. In my spare time, I enjoy all things comedy including writing, storytelling, and even stand-up.
