In the last 2 years of presidency in student life, founded the MHE program, taking it from concept to approved through the various university new program and various curriculum committees, with final approvals by the faculty and Board of Trustees in 2017. Launched the program in fall 2018 and provided leadership on administrative functions (student recruitment, new student orientation, finances, apprenticeship program, promotions and fund-raising, commencement, and overall program development with graduate director/faculty lead for program. Upon retirement, three cohorts graduated and fifth cohort enrolling fall 2022.

Elon, Nc

Chief student affairs officer at private, comprehensive university of 6,700 students (6,000 undergraduates). Led 15 departments that provide student services and support student development. Areas of responsibilities include: campus center, campus recreation and club sports, counseling services, Elon Experiences Transcript, Fraternity and Sorority Life, health services, judicial affairs, leadership, multicultural affairs, new student orientation, religious and spiritual life, residence life, service-learning, sexual assault prevention and response, student activities, student government and student organizations, and substance education. Also provide oversight of North Carolina Campus Compact. Facilitator with faculty instructor in senior psychology seminar on college student development.

Montgomery, Alabama

Chief student affairs officer at private, liberal arts college of 800 students. Areas of responsibilities include: residential life, counseling and career development center, recreation and intramurals, intercollegiate athletics (four men’s and four women’s sports), student activities, student government and student organizations, judicial students, parents association, retention efforts, and mail operations. Taught Abnormal Psychology.

St. Louis, Missouri

Responsible for housing operation of 1,600 residence hall students and 114 apartments. Responsibilities included: supervision of professional staff; student development programs; housing operations (maintenance, housekeeping, security, contracts and room assignments); annual operation budgets of $3 million for Housing and Food Services; major physical improvements and renovations; course on personality styles; advise Vice President on residence life, long range planning and trends and facilities management; member of enrollment management team.

Auburn, Alabama

Shared responsibility for housing operation of 4,200 residents. Responsibilities included: housing applications/contracts for single and married students; liaison with computer center; coordinated off-campus housing; directed Pre-College Counseling and summer conference accommodations (annual revenues of $100,000); prepared public relations materials; conducted student and staff programming.

Auburn, Alabama

Responsible for residential community of 1,100 students. Responsibilities included: annual operating budget ($600,000); 27 support personnel and 60 student workers; room assignments; Pre-College counseling and summer conference accommodations; student activities programming and facilities; taught Interpersonal Relations Course.

Responsible for 200 residents. Responsibilities included: social and developmental programs (Listening Skills, Assertiveness, Leadership, Alcohol Awareness, Time Management, Team Building through outdoor Adventure Training, Personality Interpretations, etc.); individual counseling and/or referral services; discipline; directed “A Friend Program: (Big Brother/Sister Program); selection, training, and supervision of Resident Advisors; six hall budgets; manage recreation complex; assist with conference housing and management; implement comprehensive room and hallway personalization program.

New Concord, Ohio

Co-responsibility for residential life of 1,000 students. Responsibilities included: fraternities; freshman orientation program; evaluation of freshman social life and academics; individual counseling; selection, training and supervision of student residence staff; advisement of student councils and judicial boards; room assignments; campus parking.
