About Phil Smith, D.Min.
For over 20 years I’ve been deeply involved in developing and guiding leadership teams and organizations, both in the church and nonprofit space. Building and cultivating teams led to success in leadership development, fundraising and program expansion. I enjoy inviting others into a vision and nurturing a collaborative team toward productive implementation of that vision. A doctorate in leadership not only provided a multifaceted knowledge-base for leading an organization, but the tools for developing effective global partnerships to advance transformation in communities. Having a son with Down syndrome opened my eyes to the needs and opportunities for those affected by disabilities. It led me to serve at Accessible Hope International for two years. I'm grateful now to provide leadership at First Love International Ministries as president/CEO.My research and leadership experiences have inspired a side-hobby I hope becomes a life-long journey. In dependence on insightful thought-leaders and authors, several years ago I launched promoteHumility, an organization focused on spreading a passion for humility in all of life. I've seen humility's power in other people's lives, and I long for it more in my life.
