I am a self-motivated business leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and an insatiable appetite for learning and devising initiatives to improve environments and to help people grow and achieve their potential. I have a depth of experience across diverse fields including media and publishing, corporate communications and mergers and acquisitions. At just 24, I founded my publishing company, Paprika Media, which launched and published the internationally acclaimed entertainment and lifestyle magazine, Time Out India. Growing the readership to 600,000 with published editions in 3 Cities; Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore and creating well-known media events such as Time Out Food Awards. Managing 125 people across 3 Cities at Paprika allowed me to hone my people development skills and mentor and coach team leaders that are now spearheading businesses in their own fields. Most recently I have utilised my experience in being the driving force behind the evolution of corporate brand communications and human resource management at Essar Group and getting actively involved in the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives through the Essar Foundation. My keen interest in the latter resulted in personally connecting and engaging with CSR evangelists to bring global best practices to Essar Group and the other organisations I support. I enjoy leading and being part of initiatives to help others develop their potential. For example, I worked with Magic Bus (NGO) to help attract funding to support 375,000 children through the year and spearheaded initiatives for women in the workplace at Hazira and Essar Group. Alongside my business interests, I maintain an interest in the spiritual side of life. Studying amongst other things; fitness, Ayurveda and the different Yoga philosophies. My grandmother was also a great influencer of my thinking, teaching me valuable life lessons such as ‘Not everything can be expressed, some just experienced’. In the last 4 years I have been on a personal journey which has made me change my choices, habits and lifestyle, transforming how I experience each day. I am now utilising my business, leadership, entrepreneurship and spiritual learning to develop programmes and initiatives to help others find their path whether in work, at home or in relationships and make their own transformation.
