I am training to support distance learning for one of the largest CS courses at Brown, with 400+ students enrolled in the previous semester. As a Teaching Assistant, I will facilitate student learning through individualized help sessions which will focus on mastering the foundations, implementation, and applications of Deep Learning.

At the LUNAR and BLT Labs, I am spearheading a project to build computational models of counterfactual reasoning used in pragmatic inference. We are evaluating deep language models, such as BERT and GPT-2, on their ability to generate sets of alternatives needed for ad hoc implicatures.I am concurrently collaborating on a project which investigates the information-constraints on language acquisition. I have developed an automated data management pipeline which downloads, transcribes, segments, and annotates hundreds of hours of video in order to extract the key linguistic features.

I collaborated daily with my team in English, French, and Hebrew in order to augment Juno's Learning and Development platform. We worked in biweekly sprints in order to deploy updates for our tens of thousands of users across 3 continents.As a web developer, I rebuilt the User Analytics portal as a single-view dynamic webpage with React.js, Redux, and Recharts. This new page allowed managers to instantly identify areas for growth through performance metrics. I augmented this portal to include on-demand filters and I improved website performance by refactoring the data management back-end to be more algorithmically efficient. Additionally, I developed Juno's end-to-end test suite from scratch in Cypress, Mocha, and Chai in order to facilitate faster prototyping and test-driven development. I designed this test scaffolding to be fast, modular, and scalable so that it could adapt to Juno's many new features.

This lab specializes in speech perception, audiovisual speech recognition, non-native speech, and phonology. Investigated the cognitive trade-offs between listening effort and working memory that occurred when processing unfamiliar and fully-intelligible accented speech. Measured pupillometry and reaction time data for participants in IRB-approved experiments.

Guided student learning through discussions of code debugging, hardware/software interfaces, and computer science fundamentals. Led students through development of coding projects in C (Arduino), Java, and Assembly (AVR).

Helped students develop skills in asynchronous programming, user-centered design, and reactive interfaces. Assisted in student development of website in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including React.js).

Assisted undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students in their career search by working with them on résumés, CVs, cover letters, and other application materials. Was responsible for front-facing operations and triage at the Career Center office.

Lead general body meetings to facilitate conversations regarding local, national, and international politics. Discussed article ideas, writing strategies, and current events with writing staff. Performed one-on-one reviews with writers to sharpen prose and argumentation of articles.

Instructed students in Physics, Calculus, Algebra, English Writing, and standardized testing preparation using both traditional pedagogical methods and "inverted classroom" methods. Answered questions and reviewed homework in order to give constructive feedback.

As an intern for Rep. Kay Khan (11th Middlesex), I specialized in legislation about Conversion Therapy (Sexual Orientation Change Efforts). I conducted research on the psychological impact of S.O.C.E., as well as legislative efforts across the country related to S.O.C.E. I drafted briefs, edited bills, and analyzed judicial decisions.

Boston-Haifa Cohort V: This two-year program focused on developing personal and community leadership skills through workshops, group reflection, and local volunteering. After being invited to the Israel Winter Seminar, the program culminated in a philanthropic project. I proposed and organized a non-profit program to alleviate hunger in the Greater Boston Area, which was awarded the Diller Alumni Grant.
