About Søren M. Olesen

I'm a senior software architect / developer with 20+ years experience in developing software, based on C#, MSSQL, Oracle, XML, WCF REST API, ASP.NET Web API, Castle::Windsor, Moq, VB.NET, MSMQ, WCF, SOA, MongoDBI strive to create testable software using the best practice in software development. I try to follow the SOLID principle and I’m constantly looking for new ways to make better software.I've been working in the catalogue publishing business for more than 17 years, building systems for catalogue production including workflow management, translation, image storage and report generation. For the last couple of years I've been working as a backend developer on a large REST enabled system, using ASP.NET WebAPI. I've managed to build a framework on top of this API, making it easier to collaborate on a project, and making it easier for non WebAPI developers to work with REST.I've gained lot of experience in working in an international environment, working in USA for 2+ years, developing software and implementing a system for producing more than 5000 printed pages a year.I've also worked in Vietnam (HCMC /Saigon) for ½ a year setting up a .NET outsourcing team, including hiring developers, train them, transfer of knowledge and implementing scrum.
