-Assess and ready inpatients/outpatients for procedures in fast-paced environment -Relieve patient's anxiety by providing education about what to expect during procedure and recovery, addressing patient and family members questions/concerns -Under the direction of the physician, administer conscious sedation and monitor patient during various procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, bronchoscopy, liver biopsy-Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice-Recover patients in post-anesthesia. Ensure safe discharge of all patients, provide discharge teaching to patient and family members-Participate in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialized equipment, ensuring standard of decontamination at all times including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment-Maintain call schedule beyond weekly work regimen-Preceptor for new hire RN's-Assist in scheduling cases for department, while taking into account staffing resources, patient status/appropriateness to have procedure performed in department, anesthesia availability if necessary, and procedure room availability.

•Provide quality healthcare to a wide variety of high acuity patients on a 38 bed General Vascular Surgical unit. These patients range from general medical/medical telemetry, GI/GU surgeries, bariatric surgeries, vascular surgeries, and patients needing wound care.
