I am an experienced health care professional who led teams to create Quality Improvement in complex contexts - integrating QI, Patient Safety and Patient/Public Engagement for sustainable outcomes. I am currently most interested in leading or participating in projects that design and use quantitative and qualitative data (especially narrative capture!) to support decisions around change. I love to work with the perspectives of all members of health care teams, from patients/families to professional/medical staff to support staff to managers and executives. I am actively leveraging my passion for quality improvement in healthcare into community work as a volunteer.

Lead, Collaborative For Excellence In Healthcare Quality (Cehq)Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Nov 2010 - Aug 2013I was privileged to work with stakeholders from across the country to develop a framework for excellence in quality patient care specifically in acute care settings. In this role I was supported by the WRHA to pursue an in-depth analysis of the current state of Critical Incident Reviews, working with the WRHA research department. We were able to trial the use of a novel methodology (narrative capture) for part of the review with successful results.
