Cross Ice Pass is more than just about stories for the boys and more about rich connections. It’s about how hockey has brought the guests into more significant things in life. I hope to hear about the sport as a springboard to great ideas. Additionally, I look forward to how varied each story will look, and sound, from more than just a current or retired NHLer but also people making massive changes to communities, teams, brands, and organizations. The hockeyverse is a worldwide community and I am hoping to tap into all aspects of it with a great ear and an empathetic lens. I look forward to showing how the sport is a crucial part of my life and how much I continually learn with every post and story I see and hear. I will be giving a big pass cross ice to your listening eyes and ears and it will be right on your tape (even if its cloth, friction, white, black, or rainbow)!

Nevertheless, as time passed, I have employed my talents to assist a variety of clients and partners in diverse capacities.My background includes crafting small cards for acquaintances and advising major brands. This opportunity has enabled me to diversify my expertise in graphic design across various industries.

I collaborated with PepsiCo to create a product for the Mountain Dew brand that features a collection of fan-generated recipes. My role was to bring my design and print production experience to the project and work with the Dew brand team to create an attractive design. The resulting book has received HUGE media attention and sold out very fast.

San Francisco Bay Area

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Soren Deorlow at Resonance Partners on the design of the first edition of the "Discovery Design: Design Thinking for Healthcare Improvement by The Risk Authority & Future Medical Systems" book. Together, we worked closely with The Risk Authority Stanford and Future Medical Systems to ensure the book was both engaging and accessible for readers.

I helped a major Heating, Cooling, Steam & Industrial Piping company in Queens, New York with their brand design and implementation. The project involved developing a stationary and website. Now, I serve as their go-to consultant for any creative requirements they have.

Alan Hill Design is a boutique design firm that specializes in marketing real estate projects of all types and sizes globally, as well as creating branding and book designs for various organizations. Our team of designers has extensive knowledge of production and distribution across diverse platforms. During my time at the firm, I worked on designing book covers, branding, marketing, real estate showroom experiences, as well as managing print production and installations. Additionally, I was responsible for developing back-end CMS for websites, online and print advertising, and ensuring that architectural building and floor plans were clean and presentable.

I worked with Brick for moments when they needed added help with the design, and thinking, of various items needed for sportswear, printed matter, and social media posts. My role as a consultant was when they partnered with outside companies to hold events.

It is truly an honor to work with such a great brand and helping to beef up their Men's line by using other sports instead of just Yoga.

In 2010, I stumbled upon the Spartan Race as a way to test my fitness and have fun. After reaching out to founder Joe De Sena, I had the opportunity to work with him on three projects as a book designer for his company.

Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area

During my brief stay in Texas, I had the opportunity to collaborate with New York-based artists who were searching for a designer to create a book for their exhibitions at the Blanton. I worked on an extensive book showcasing alumni collectors, as well as a book for artist Michael Smith's retrospective.

I had the pleasure of starting my journey with Phillips as a contract worker for their book production consulting team. However, I eventually transitioned to working with their internal team. It was an incredible opportunity to be a part of the auction world's marketing and experience design, which is essentially a massive exhibition condensed into a single week. During my time at Phillips, I was able to wear many hats and gain valuable experience. Our approach was straightforward. First, we would aim to bring in as many profitable art pieces as possible. Then, we would create a coffee table book for potential buyers, market the exhibition and auction event, design an exhibition for in-person viewing before the auction, and finally, create wayfinding and design the auction experience for the big day.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Socrates during a period of increased art venues in Queens, NY. My main focus was promoting their stunning outdoor exhibitions, with a particular highlight being the annual Emerging Artist Foundation exhibition. This event showcased a small book featuring the artwork being shown that year.

I had the pleasure of working with a fantastic art bookmaker, seller, and authoring firm. My role involved designing their catalogs and implementing a system for creating them internally while adhering to their brand identity. Additionally, I had the opportunity to design some of their in-house books. It was a lovely experience overall.

MoMA is such a storied museum that I was so honored to work with. My time with them was as an inhouse designer focusing on exhibition branding with a focus on external marketing. The largest piece that I was able to work on during their NYC remodel in Manhattan was their temporary location in Queens, MoMAQNS.I was able to take that initial brand thinking from an outside firm and move it into something we felt was better geared to the museum's future vision. I was part of everything from wayfinding, experiences, exhibitions, marketing, and of course brand design choices outside the museum on conceptualization.

I had the pleasure of working with Sue Medlicot from Working Dog Press to create custom books for clients of Phillips Auction House and True East Farming Ancestral Lands on Long Island's East End. It was a great experience and I gained valuable knowledge about producing high-quality coffee table art books that stand the test of time.
