The Samaritan Inn works to offer services for those in need of temporary housing, job search, and financial planning. As a Front Office Volunteer, my daily tasks include assisting intakes, organizing donations, customer service, and other secretarial managements. I also assist with individuals who need to use the computer lab or temporary day-care services for working parents. My time at the Inn has been evergrowing and enlightening as I gain more exposure to different personal circumstances.

Through my year-long internship with Plastic Tides, I proactively created and expanded on a research-based project that focused on reversing textile waste within my own community. While working alongside my mentor, Ms. Isabelle Tisson, I effectively synthesized, evaluated, and interpreted statistics on the textile waste accumulation in my city. To combat the increase in textile waste, I founded an initiative that serves to educate individuals on reusing/recycling clothing known as InfiniTee. My project proposal and portfolio highlight my research process and future development ideas.
