Learned and applied Chapters 1 through 12 of API MPMS (measurement standards) to the documentation of midstream processes, principally custody transfer and ticketing. Served as a Geographic Information Systems/Computer-Aided Drafting specialist, processing zoning-related applications on a biweekly basis. That entailed converting land survey data into a GIS drawings, which then helped establish boundaries to generate a database for public notices, which then was used to notify the public about upcoming cases. Cases were presented to the city council and the public using Power Point presentations I created using the GIS-generated drawings. Wrote a 50-page training manual from scratch for the GIS/CAD Technician position to facilitate ease of transition between people who had that job.Developed a set of user-friendly, step-by-step instructions for the average citizen to easily complete zoning-related applications. Text was supported by illustrations created by Microstation, which was used to show homeowners how to draw a basic site plan describing their zoning-related requests. Created Word documents of the sections of the online Zoning Code so that those documents could be handed out to the public upon request, thus facilitating greater ease of use of zoning materials.

Prepared and revised engineering plans prepared by highway and bridge engineers for major projects such as the US 59N/Beltway 8 interchange in NE Houston and the Pierce Elevated Bridge Reconstruction in downtown Houston. Other projects worked on include the NASA Road 1 reconstruction in the Clear Lake area and the Tamina Road overpass project in the Woodlands area. The plan sets included pavement drawings, storm sewer plan-and-profile drawings, traffic control plans, storm water pollution prevention plans, bridge layout plans, etc.
