During my undergraduate years, a spontaneous idea turned into an exciting entrepreneurial journey when I co-founded an event management company. With just a spark of inspiration, we quickly set up shop and secured our very first project—a farewell event worth £6,860. The event was a hit, and we soon found ourselves managing three more projects of similar scale.However, as the world came to a standstill during the COVID-19 pandemic, so did our operations. We had plans to relaunch post-lockdown, but as life often does, it threw a few more challenges our way—final exams, looming projects, and other personal changes led us to make the tough decision not to continue the business.Despite its brief run, this venture was a tremendous learning experience. It taught me the art of balancing multiple priorities, the importance of clear and effective communication, and the nuances of negotiation and vendor management. Most importantly, it ignited a passion for entrepreneurship that continues to drive me today.
