As an experienced social worker with a deep commitment to suicide prevention and supporting those impacted by suicide, my journey began over 15 years ago as a volunteer at a small crisis center. I have had the privilege of contributing to a variety of crisis service settings, from grassroots nonprofits serving local communities to large organizations with a global reach.My formal training in social work is continuously enriched by my frontline work in leveraging data and technology. These tools are essential in showcasing the impactful work we do and enhancing our services in terms of quality and scalability. At heart, I am a lived experience educator passionate about mentoring colleagues and other mental health professionals. I have had the privilege to do so as a public suicide prevention trainer and as a program manager, supporting teams of up to 80 individuals. I focus on fostering compassionate support for individuals in crisis and integrating lived experience into clinical practices.
