Appointed to the Transition Managers role to project manage transfer of the Lend Lease FM business to Cofely-GDF Suez. I used all my influence skills and resource planning knowledge to deliver the project on time and within budget for Lend Lease.Project Scope:The Facilities Management function of LEND LEASE was sold to Cofely-GDF Suez. All LLFM services and staff required migrating onto Cofely provided infrastructure. All LEND LEASE provided system had to be either decommissioned or migrated. The transfer of equipment, services, support and personnel covered over 40 sites with up to 500 staff. Starting a business from scratch is hard, the hours are long, the learning curve is steep, the wages don’t yet exist and the risk of failure is ever present. Launching in the middle of a recession and using personal seed capital didn’t make the venture any easier but it did help to provide focus when making investment decisions and planning the right course of action at the right time.My experience with contract management and technical capability planning was particularly useful for selecting products, service partners and technology required to launch and grow the business. Finance planning was vital throughout as cash flow had to be carefully managed.I picked up new skills along the way such as understanding basic web and mobile app design, Content Optimisation, SEO, Google Analytics, Cloud and SaaS, various social media platforms and their use in marketing & branding. Michelle Walsh Photography has steadily grown over the last 3+ years and launched a London high street boutique studio in 2014. Having established a company with a bright future, increased product lines (including Corporate Head shoots for LinkedIn profiles) and choosing a more than capable business partner from the outset I was able to step away from day to day running completely in mid 2014 and explore new opportunities in more familiar markets.
