Designed & implemented (GoLang/prometheus/alertmanager) an extensible plugin-in based health check framework for monitoring diverse aspects of Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) platform management plane. Key features: configuration/registration of periodic health checks with retries, alerting in health checks, health check REST APIs. Collaborated on design & implementation metrics alert driven health checks feature.Built a HCI control plane observability stack metrics management solution using open source prometheus, grafana and alertmanager. Using GoLang implemented a metrics exporter microservice to dispatch prometheus collected metrics to proprietary metrics data sinks. Led GoLang based microservice dev in HPE Simplivity organization: came up with dependency management, build, configuration, logging, REST API, containerization and created Go microservice templates.Designed and implemented an independent metrics service in JAVA exploiting HPE Simplivity data plane thrift interfaces, exposed interfaces to higher level control plane services. Designed and implemented containerized workloads orchestration with Kubernetes/Docker for distributed control plane in an initial version of HPE HCI platform. Created deployment automation for multi-node management & control plane kubernetes cluster that supported deployment of GoLang microservices/legacy services.

Designed & developed features of an extensible high level analytical query language (AQL) interface using Java and ANTLR in HP Software Operations Analytics (OpsA) platform for Big Data analytics. Implemented the semantic validation, metadata checks to generate executable SQL statements based on the ANTLR generated abstract syntax tree (AST) and targeting HPE Vertica. Also created a pluggable language extension mechanism that allowed use of custom analytics using HPE Vertica and R statistical programming language.Designed & developed features of a real-time data ingestion subsystem for the OpsA Big Data analytics platform. Used Java/Kafka/Storm/Morphline/GROK and HPE Software Vertica. Triaged and solved multiple performance & scalability issues in OpsA Big Data analytics components for ingestion and retrieval of data.As part of a Hybrid IT platform prototype team, created prototype analytics features integrating HP Software IT Operations Analytics (OpsA) platform features into containerized management/control plane. Collaborated with other team members for inclusion of monitoring features and presented the overall monitoring & analytics prototype stack to business leaders and CTO office.

Led the design & implementation of a system for multi-vendor Unified Communications service monitoring, reporting and analysis as an extension to HP Software Network Node Manager (NNM) Platform. As key contributions, designed & implemented a sub system for reception & analysis of Real Time Transport Control Protocol (RTCP) packets for tracking UC service quality in real time as well as for historical over time analysis, a sub system for processing and analysis of call data & routing information for tracking/trending service usage and correlation to service quality. Used Java/J2EE, JBoss Application Server, PostgreSQL, IBM Cognos BI server, Sybase IQ DB.Triaged and solved multiple functional, performance, scalability issues in these HP NNM UC service monitoring, reporting features.

As a part of HP Network Node Manager R&D team responsible for management of IP Telephony deployments, • Designed and implemented various Java based components for monitoring of enterprise IP Telephony networks, systems and services from multiple IP telephony systems vendors such as Cisco and Avaya.• Provided Technical leadership to the team responsible for overall delivery of the platform extension design and implementation.As a part of HP R&D team responsible for releases of HP OpenView Service Assurance (OVSA) Product - a Telecommunications Management Network (ITU-T TMN) based Operations Support System (OSS) platform for Telecom Service Providers:• Implemented TMN conformant C++ based fault Mediation feature enhancements.• Fixes and enhancements to TMN conformant CORBA and C++ based fault, problem and managed object services

As a software development engineer in Transmission & Data Switching R&D team of Indian Telephone Industries (ITI), Implemented various software modules using C/C++ for centralized monitoring of data switches & transmission equipment in Satellite Communications networks used by Government Agencies.
