Sponsored project A wellness based, patient centric approach to design a scalable, and replicable process to promote, collect and integrate healthcare power of attorneys into the patient’s health records. - Led planning and execution of ethnographic observation, including in-depth interviews, contextual inquiries, think-aloud tests,to unocver user painpoints and opportunities to simplify the Health Power of Attorney (HPOA) process.- Developed journey maps to communicate insights about staff and patient needs by synthesizing research findings.- Conceptualised, developed and tested prototypes including A/B testing and intercepts to include user feedback to redesign the HPOA forms, patient education materials and communication strategies for UCM.- Developed a communication strategy for creating patient awareness, patient guides to support patients through the process.- Redesigned the HPOA form for increased readability and easy access to patient information. The communication materials and the form were refined after 2 rigorous rounds of usability testing with patient and non patients. - Developed a service blueprint highlighting the digital and physical interactions, recommending stakeholder actions and KPIs for successful implementation. The project was launched with a 6-week pilot program during the summer of 2023.
