After I completed my C.A. I spent 5 years working in M&A at a boutique investment bank which helped build a very sound and disciplined base for myself. It gave me great insight into several industries. At the same time I also discovered that the corporate ladder climb was not for me. I felt the need to test my creative juices and having put in my papers at the I-Bank in October 2009, I opened a one-stop quirky design and gift store. Tappu Ki Dukaan was born out of a need for a fun and affordable gift store which bridges the gap between an Archies (too much of a college feel) and Good Earth (too expensive and serious). It's been 8 years and the best journey which has led to over 500 products being sold out of 1 retail store at Fort, Mumbai and our online website - www.tappukidukaan.com which ships across the country. In 2015, I have co-founded a brand called Plan B (www.yougotplanb.com), to bridge the gap currently faced in the children's inner-wear market. We create innovative designs, with an intention to revolutionise the idea of underwear, boxer shorts, vests and socks which educate and tell a story. We have experienced an overwhelming response over the last year in the online market and we are ready to expand the same to the brick and mortar space as well.
