Qualified Social Worker, registered with the SACSSP. I have working experience from the Department of Social Development. During that time , I was exposed to statutory work, case work, group work and community work, assisting vulnerable individuals, families and communities experiencing social ills by empowering, developing, advocating for to enhance their problem-solving capabilities. Through practice during the course of studying, I was able to gain experience with working with children who are in trouble with the law and individuals, families, communities affected by substance abuse. I have been able to use my good communication skills (Verbal and Written), empathic listening skills, Trauma and basic counselling skills, knowledge and experience in working with the Children’s Act, ability to intervene and resolve conflict of a complex nature, non-judgmental attitude, understanding and caring nature in sustaining professional conduct within the work place.
