Human Resources Administrator
CurrentServes as the primary HR contact for a set of assigned departments or schools–specifically, theTransportation Department as well as managing the comprehensive Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Program for all of Chesterfield County Public Schools which includes random testing for over 650 employees and reasonable suspicion management for over 11,000 full time, part-time, and temporary employees.Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching,counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.Staffs assigned units giving attention to position control; collaborates with administrators, InstructionalDivision and the Office of Management and Budget in forecasting and determining staffing needs.Works with HRIS to coordinate issuance of a variety of contracts and work agreements for new hires,promotions, and transfers to ensure compliance with School Board policies, state laws, and procedures.Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees,reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with senior managers or legal asneeded/required.
