Working as part of the GE Power PROe (Parts, Reliability, and Outages) team to build industrial web applications on GE Digital's Predix/APM Platform (PaaS) in order to provide access to current and projected reliability, availability, and optimization data and models. By providing easy access to and interactivity with this data, these applications will empower GE power plant managers to manage their outage / inspection dates more effectively - reducing unplanned outages - and plant day traders to more effectively dispatch power while maximizing profits.Collaborated closely with the team's Senior Software Engineer to prototype several versions of GE Power's Digital Power Plant (DPP) using Axure RP, Google's AngularJS (v. 1.58), Google's Polymer library (1.0), and mixtures of both (using Git as our VCS and Rally for Agile task tracking). Worked with a GE Digital team to convert our final DPP AngularJS application into a Predix / APM "microapp" which entailed upgrading from the JS ES5 standard to ES6 along with adapting our project structure to the APM standard. Managed the extraction and delivery of meteorological data to Reliability engineering team for their reliability models. Upon request, provided proposal, research, and cost / benefit analysis for cloud storage options for the data.Led the implementation of Google's Material Design specification via the Angular Material library.
