Researched and evaluated various technologies, tools, development environments for initial project setup.- Volunteered to work on the first Java based component, which was completed with high quality and used as a template by the rest of the team.- Implemented the host framework (using Java, Perl) and target framework (using C/C++) of ATF. Designed and implemented a standardized XML reporting module, to be used by any other component.- Handled portability issues to make the framework easily adaptable across several Use Cases, APIs, transports and platforms. Tackled subjects like memory management, performance measurement and management while working on a multi-threaded system.- Demonstrated ability to communicate with third party vendors by accomplishing the successful rollout of ATF to Texas Instrument at their Dallas location. Sound debugging skills led to 25% of my time being dedicated to solving critical customer issues.- Created organization-wide awareness and excitement about ATF, which led to a significant rise in number of teams using ATF at Motorola.- Trained engineers and Deployed ATF at several customer locations.- Proactively created the Scrum Last Day process and re-designed Delivery process to better suit our team. -
Engineering InternArvin Meritor May 2005 - Apr 2006Developed and launched a system for tracking laboratory testing activities at Arvin Meritor Test Lab. It served as an archival of all testing requirements from the launch to the conclusion of the test. The system was also linked to the internal Product Data Management system and company Intranet. The project required close contact/coordination with the business unit's global facilities to ensure usefulness of the project around the world.- Gathered requirements by several detailed discussions with lab technicians and supervisors.- Designed and developed the database from scratch, using Microsoft Visio and SQL.- Implemented features like test request details & status management, sample log generation, automated reminder emails, date validations and test lab performance evaluation. - Devised efficient algorithm to handle the scheduling of lab equipments.Key Accomplishment: Single-handedly carried the project through all the phases of requirement elicitation, design, implementation and testing. The project along with web page layouts got excellent management reviews.
