Led the redesign and development of Rithmio's proprietary C library for motion recognition algorithms, enhancing portability and performance across embedded and non-embedded devices. Introduced advanced features such as memory handling, state machines, robust error handling, crash resistance, efficient data management, performance measurement, logging mechanisms, and data encryption, while establishing coding standards to improve code quality. Droid X - Lead the team to integrate and implement the 720p video capture and playback feature on DroidX, the first Motorola phone to have the 720p capability.- Collaborated successfully with three different vendors using different hardware platforms and software versions, to work towards one common goal of making all the components work together.- Re-architected the vendor’s file writing algorithm by implementing asynchronous FileWriter class, which improved the overall performance by 20%.- Utilized my system level expertise to resolve multiple performance issues due to cpu and memory bandwidth limitations on OMAP platform.- Worked extensively in multi-threaded environment with performance being of extreme importance. Improved the Camera Application bringup time by moving the time consuming operations to a separate thread.- Worked extensively with the codec vendors to come up with the best combination of codec parameters to attain the best possible encode quality with the available resources.- Expanded the multimedia Google test framework to stress test Motorola phones over multiple days.- Worked with the CXD (Consumer Design) team to formalize the requirements for Video Capture feature.Droid - Member of the Droid Multimedia team, Motorola's flagship android product.- Integrated and developed the Google Android platform, PacketVideo Opencore framework and OpenMax on Motorola’s latest platform.- Worked with Google on designing and re-architecting parts of the multimedia android framework. Made enhancements and fixed bugs on the video encode and playback component of Opencore.- Improved Camcorder KPI’s by re-designing the initialization and thumbnail generation part of the Motorola Blur Camcorder application.- Documented the Video encoding part of android framework (in class diagrams and sequence diagrams), which was later used by the product teams and new team members to get onboard the android platform.

Served as a Charter Member of the Automated Test Framework (ATF) team - a special taskforce put together to introduce and automate component level testing in the Multimedia team. - Developed a prototype for management's approval using Stride Studio.- Played a key role in the architecture, detailed technical design, implementation and deployment of the system. Researched and evaluated various technologies, tools, development environments for initial project setup.- Volunteered to work on the first Java based component, which was completed with high quality and used as a template by the rest of the team.- Implemented the host framework (using Java, Perl) and target framework (using C/C++) of ATF. Designed and implemented a standardized XML reporting module, to be used by any other component.- Handled portability issues to make the framework easily adaptable across several Use Cases, APIs, transports and platforms. Tackled subjects like memory management, performance measurement and management while working on a multi-threaded system.- Demonstrated ability to communicate with third party vendors by accomplishing the successful rollout of ATF to Texas Instrument at their Dallas location. Sound debugging skills led to 25% of my time being dedicated to solving critical customer issues.- Created organization-wide awareness and excitement about ATF, which led to a significant rise in number of teams using ATF at Motorola.- Trained engineers and Deployed ATF at several customer locations.- Proactively created the Scrum Last Day process and re-designed Delivery process to better suit our team.

Developed and launched a system for tracking laboratory testing activities at Arvin Meritor Test Lab. It served as an archival of all testing requirements from the launch to the conclusion of the test. The system was also linked to the internal Product Data Management system and company Intranet. The project required close contact/coordination with the business unit's global facilities to ensure usefulness of the project around the world.- Gathered requirements by several detailed discussions with lab technicians and supervisors.- Designed and developed the database from scratch, using Microsoft Visio and SQL.- Implemented features like test request details & status management, sample log generation, automated reminder emails, date validations and test lab performance evaluation. - Devised efficient algorithm to handle the scheduling of lab equipments.Key Accomplishment: Single-handedly carried the project through all the phases of requirement elicitation, design, implementation and testing. The project along with web page layouts got excellent management reviews.
