Compared theoretical predictions with experiments using regression analysis.Studied the evolution of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases which translate genetic code to protein sequences (https://github.com/niranjchandrasekaran/mbp_calculation).- Reconstructed ancestral sequences using maximum likelihood phylogenetic trees.Showed that two classes of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases evolved from the opposite strands of the same ancestral gene, verifying the Rodin Ohno hypothesis.
