Implement the day to day operations assigned for the engineering department to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures -Producing basic and detailed engineering deliverables for Control & instrumentation based on the P&ID’s, project specific design standards. -Selection of Control Valves, ESD valves, Blow Down Valves, Pressure Relief Valves. -Preparation of Instrumentation Engineering Deliverables like Instrument index, IO list, Cable schedule, instrument hook up drawings and Checking of Instrumentation Design Deliverables. -Technical offer evaluation of field instruments and control systems, selecting suitable vendors for Instrumentation items & preparation of Technical Bid Tabulation. -Review of Instrumentation documentation for vendor packages. -Preparation of Loop Drawings and JB termination drawings. -Participating in technical meetings with vendors and clients/consultants; creating Minutes Of Meeting (MOM).

 Detailed & Design Engineering Activity Includes following:o Technical & Commercial evaluation of the vendor offers for different instrumentation items and prepare TBE & CBE.o Review project scope & Preparation of Design Basis.o Preparation of General Instrument Specification.o Data gathering from Site, Preparation of Site visit report.o Preparation of Instrument Index, I/O List, Instrument Data Sheets & other deliverables.o Procurement activities like Preparation of Enquiry Requisition for Instrument items like Transmitters – Pressure, Flow, Level, Temperature, Control Valve, Junction box with cable gland, Cable, Cable Tray, Multi Cable Transits.o Preparation and Review of Instrument and Junction Box Location Layout, Cable and Cable Tray/Trench Routing Layout, Instrument Cable Schedule.o Review/ Approve Vendor /Package vendor documents & drawings of Instruments.o Checking vendor P&ID and commenting based on Project requirements, Involved in TBE of packages.o Inter-discipline engineering works, co-ordinations, Technical inputs for developing the Package specification document.o Review of Package documents like –Index, I/O List, Instrument datasheets, and Instrument layouts, various vendor drawings, wirings and instrument Hookup.o Evaluation of vendor offers for vibration/condition monitoring system & fire alarm system and vendor finalization after the technical submission.o Preparation of design deliverables for CCTV & telephone system.o Estimation & Costing for Instrumentation in conjunction with project BOQ, Specifications & Drawings. o Reporting the department head on the weekly progress in the project activities.

 Detailed & Design Engineering Activity Includes following:o Preparation of Instrument Specification sheet for various flow instruments: Vortex, Magnetic, Ultrasonic, Integral Orifice and performing sizing calculations for DP flow elements, Temperature Gauge & Transmitter, Pressure Gauge & Transmitter, relief valves, on-off valves & control valves.o Preparation of Instrumentation Engineering Deliverables like Instrument index, IO list, Cable schedule, instrument hook up drawings and Checking of Instrumentation Design Deliverables.o Technical offer evaluation of field instruments and control systems, selecting suitable vendors for Instrumentation items & preparation of Technical Bid Tabulation.o Preparation of Loop Drawings and JB termination drawings.o Sizing calculation of various flow elements including orifice plate, venturi, pressure relief valve & control valve.o Participating in technical meetings with vendors and clients/consultants; creating Minutes Of Meeting (MOM).o Involved in HAZOP review meetings and resolution of HAZOP committee queries, comments.o Working with deliverables in Smart Plant Instrumentation version 9.o Giving technical instructions to Designers, coordinating & project interfacing with clients, vendors, contractors and other concerned individuals of various disciplines.

 Worked in close coordination with the Main EPC contractor for the site erection/installation activities. Closing the punch points received from the QA/QC Engineer. Involved in the various site activities like cable tray installation, cabling, cable termination, instrument hook up installation, instrument installation, Positive Material Identification(PMI) checks. Leading a team in Instrument Calibration, Installation, cable laying, Glanding, Loop checking and commissioning activities. Hands-on experience in Field instruments, Control Valves, Transmitters, Field Communicators. Involved in the various activities like Panel installation, glanding, termination and signal check from the system.
