Indian Oil Ruchi Biofuels LLP is a limited liability partnership between Indian Oil Corpn Ltd and Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd. The LLP is formed for carrying out Jatropha and other energy crop plantations on govt wasteland under Jeevan Jyoti Yojana initiated by govt of Uttar Pradesh. At this start up organization, I am looking after entire gamut of activities viz. project planning and execution, manpower hiring, coordination with govt officials etc. We intend to take up large scale plantations of energy crops on available wasteland in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

MANAGING BIOFUEL (JATROPHA) PLANTATION IN STATE OF UTTAR PRADESH

The Attainments:Handling the overall responsibility of sales and marketing of pesticides products of the company in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal states through a team of Sales officers and Area Manager. Preparing business plan and strategy for its successful implementation. Monitoring network expansion and proper handling of existing network.

The Attainments: Setting up of Rural Business Hubs around Delhi/ NCR with a sustainable business plan based on the products and services compatible to the local area. The hubs will have facilities like warehousing, milk chilling units, F&V processing centers, agri inputs retailing, bank and other farm related services with a dual purpose of generating revenues and upliftment of rural masses.Procurement of fresh vegetables from farmers and tie up with various retail formats viz. Big Bazaar, ABRL, and Spencer's for their front end requirements.Setting up distribution centers for F&V business and develop sales channels through institutions, vendors and organized retail formats.

The Role:Preparing head wise annual budget for supply and distribution viz. Warehousing, handling and transportation costs and its monitoring with marketing team. Rationalizing rail/ road movement plan of urea and preparing MIS reports. Supervising dispatches and inventory control of all traded products viz. pesticides, zinc, cattle feed gypsum and micro nutrients.Planning product wise sales targets in line with organizational goals and formulating strategies for their achievement. Identify new business partners and their appointment to boost market share.Achieving budgeted sales volumes of fertilizers, pesticides and other agri inputs through dealer network.Procuring wheat seed by selecting suitable vendors, supervising processing, packaging and dispatches.Identifying progressive farmers in target area for cultivation of new crops on buy back agreement for processing purpose..Worked in Rajasthan, UP and Uttarakhand, providing me an understanding of different Climates, cropping patterns and farmers profiles.

The Attainments: Played key role in starting Wheat seed business by CFCL. Independently handled entire operations right from selection of vendors to distribution in entire marketing territory.Successfully handled co- marketing arrangements with Multinational Pesticides Companies such as Monsanto and Syngenta for achieving desired sales volumes.Introduced Contract farming of American Sweet Corn and Broccoli in tarai area for food Processing division of The Company.Carried out procurement and processing operations of green peas in tarai area for three Years.Worked in Rajasthan, UP and Uttarakhand, providing me an understanding of different Climates, cropping patterns and farmers profiles.Achieved excellent growth in the sales of traded products viz. pesticides, seeds, zinc and micro nutrients in states of Rajasthan, Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh.Introduced many new pesticide molecules and imported micro nutrients like sulphur and Boron to the trade successfully.
