In my previous role, I helped Canadian companies fund their cutting-edge innovation and research efforts through the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax incentive program. As a technology advisor, I consulted with leaders in various fields of science and technology to identify qualified expenditures, assisted with claim preparation, and taught best practices in order to maximize success.During my PhD work I was a leader as the most senior member of my research team. I planned and executed an independent research project involving the investigation of new materials for organic solar cells, and I was also given the responsibility of project planning and training for five undergraduate student researchers. I have received multiple awards which were based on the quality of written research proposals, and I have experience public speaking at national and international research conferences.
