I am an independent award-winning journalist and documentary photographer based in India's Maharashtra state.My work has been featured in more than 35 publications, including Science Magazine, Devex, MIT Technology Review, Wired, Telegraph UK, The Nation, British Medical Journal, The Daily Beast, Verge, USA Today, Baffler magazine, Progressive Magazine, Christian Science Monitor, and Equal Times. I've been extensively reporting on climate change and its impact on mental health, floods, agrarian crises, vanishing livelihoods, and several other subjects through the lived experiences of everyday people from India's remote villages.In 2024, I was honored with Forbes' 30 under 30 for my consistent reporting on climate change and its impact on people. In the past seven years, my work has been honored with 21 Journalism awards, including One World Media Award, New York University's Online Journalism Award, Ram Nath Goenka Award, Covering Climate Now Award, International Sports Press Association's Award, Statesman Award for Rural Reporting, and Laadli Media Award. I am also the co-founder of Insight Walk, a non-profit that offers teaching fellowships to rural community women. These women work with the children of their villages to ensure every child has access to the contextual education of their choice. At Insight Walk, students design their own syllabus and choose what they want to learn.
