Shannon's unwavering passion and drive shines through in her role as President and dedicated advocate for the Canadian Media Directors' Council (CMDC). Under Shannon's guidance, the CMDC has grown to represent 94% of the media investment in Canada, amounting to $13 billion. Recognizing the need for responsible media and support for the Canadian economy, Shannon played a pivotal role in launching the industry-wide initiative, The Canadian Media Manifesto.Beyond her involvement with the CMDC, Shannon actively contributes to the media landscape through various roles. She sits on the Advisory Board for Canada for Cannes Lions in partnership with The Globe & Mail. Additionally, Shannon serves as a judge for the Canadian SME awards and the Cannes Young Lions awards, recognizing and nurturing emerging Canadian talent. As a mentor, she is dedicated to empowering the next generation of media professionals.Shannon's commitment to continuous learning and development is evident in her recent accreditations. She has completed programs in Board Dynamics from Rotman School of Management and Sustainable Leadership from Harvard University.
