Infrastructure Engineer
CurrentPlans and conducts infrastructure assessments of the Airport’s airfield lighting and electrical physical plant to ensure proper life cycle maintenance and compliance with regulatory and building code requirements, uses engineering principles and appropriate management practices to coordinate and manage the activities of contractors and consultants involved in performing infrastructure assessments, studies and/or the development of renewal projects. Investigates and recommends appropriate action for airfield lighting and electrical system failures, abnormal maintenance requirements, and for the applicability of new materials, equipment and techniques for maintenance applications.Assists in developing guidelines, standards and evaluation criteria to manage capital improvement projects and insure their compliance with accepted practice and Airport codes.Responsible for overall delivery of assigned projects within approved cost, schedule and quality guidelines. Prepares statements of work, selection criteria and evaluation procedures for engineering consultants.
