About Snow Vize

I dreamed of a modem for my C64. I loved my 486 with Bitcom and ZMODEM at 2400 baud. I cranked the 28.8k. I discovered Winsock and TCP/IP, then Windows 95 and multitasking. I read about, downloaded and installed Slackware 3.4, and bought RedHat 5.1. I went with Slack, and learnt to do everything under the hood. I was not too lame to read BitchX.docI started with Commodore BASIC - I was hooked. Before I knew it, I was doing LOGO, QBasic, x86 assembly for mode 13h VGA graphics (A86 freeware), Borland C++ v3.1 for DOS, Turbo Pascal, Visual Basic 6, Visual C++ 6, Borland C++ Builder v4, GNU C/C++, bash, perl, Python. I did try Lisp once, but I must have been doing it wrong.I went back to uni to learn how to make the hard stuff - FPGAs and analogs. FPGAs are an exciting space, reconfigurable computing has a lot of potential.
