Formlabs is a $1B+ privately held global manufacturer of 3D printers, accessories, and materials in Somerville, MA with a mission to expand access to digital fabrication technology.I was recruited to build an IT & systems department from scratch with the mission of helping Formlabs scale quickly. During my tenure, I built diverse and high-performing teams. Together, we drove change at an unusually brisk pace and transformed business systems and operations. This had a direct relationship to revenue growth, increased operational efficiency, and improved customer experience. RESULTS:• Annual revenue targets more than doubled from ~$85M to ~$175M• Organization grew from ~325 to ~625+ FTE globally• Preferred stock price increased from ~$15 to ~$50• Saved ~$1.69M over 3 years through negotiations on new subscriptions, renewals, and eliminating unused software• Consistently outstanding engagement survey results & low turnover in my departmentKEY PROJECTS:• Led Salesforce platform consolidation strategy, adding Service Cloud, Partner Community, and Propel PLM/QMS.• Established real-time integration between core systems (Salesforce, Magento, NetSuite) and with multiple global warehouses.• Led recovery of NetSuite ERP implementation covering every major process (e.g. Order-to-Cash & Procure-to-Pay) covering 6 global subsidiaries and AvaTax global tax compliance to support M&A.• Established core security protocols and improved security hygiene w/ deployment of 2FA, endpoint security, encryption, and streamlined technical on/off-boarding.• Drove architecture of Magento B2B site that supports $100M+ via eCommerce customers, channel partners, and serves as the quote-to-order engine for direct sales reps.• Consolidated 6 phone systems globally into modern VOIP platform w/next-gen call center for our sales and service teams.• Scaled systems and network to support growth spanning 2 new buildings and 10 new office suites as company doubled in size and headcount.
While leading Cloudaction, I envisioned actionHub (an integration engine built on the Salesforce platform). After bootstrapping this with a few client-funded projects, I co-architected a full-scale product and we spun off this separate company.RESULTS:• Led product from initial architecture to market release in < 9 months with minimal resources• Achieved AppExchange security review & approval in 8 days• Product and company were profitable at every stage of developmentKEY PROJECTS• Envisioned, created, and launched actionHub, serving as co-architect and product manager for the only integration engine built entirely on the Salesforce platform. • Led agile development team to take actionHub from initial architecture to market release in less than 9 months with minimal resources and budget. Achieved AppExchange security review approval in only 8 days. • Provided go-to-market leadership, creating the strategy, pricing, and marketing content (e.g. website, datasheets) for actionHub. Efforts led to multiple strategic deals within days of product release. • Delivered hands-on leadership for all stages of product lifecycle (conception, design, realization, and service). • Led architecture and product strategy for creation of adapters to multiple enterprise systems. • Provided leadership in establishing strategic MSP partnerships. Developed joint eBonding offerings based upon actionHub adapters to popular enterprise ITSM systems such as ServiceNow and Remedy.

As Cloudaction’s Global Solutions Director, I was responsible for the day-to-day direct management of Cloudaction, with primary responsibility for developing and growing the firm’s consulting team, providing hands-on leadership for strategic client engagements, developing consulting solutions and best practices, providing pre-sales management, and architecting the delivery of measurable value to our clients.RESULTS• Secured strategic $600k+ contract during my first 3 months. • Increased average deal size from $40k to $200k in 18 months. • Established profitable global consulting teamKEY PROJECTS• Established new Salesforce practice. Built global team and provided hands-on consulting leadership as we completed 200+ implementations in 18 months. • Developed RFP, negotiated contract, led client workshops, defined architecture, and managed the successful program to deliver complex implementation encompassing Sales Cloud, Remedyforce, custom dev, and integrations. • Provided solution architecture and program management for strategic enterprise client projects. • Established new implementation methodology and optimized all related processes and collateral. • Defined new service offerings for process optimization, Salesforce implementations, and managed services.
I founded and led this boutique firm and we developed a reputation for integrity and results. We never maintained a sales team and grew the business exclusively through referrals. Prior to our exit, my team and I developed multiple valuable add-on solutions and were well-established as the go-to firm for the most challenging enterprise projects.KEY CLIENT RESULTS:• Created an early warning system for a Fortune 500 manufacturing firm, enabling detection and correction of engineering issues during pilot programs and saving $5M+ in future warranty claims. • Replaced multiple legacy systems for a Fortune 500 financial services firm with an integrated service management platform, meeting their unique business needs and saving them $250k+ annually. • Developed a critical knowledge portal, enabling a manufacturing firm to securely provide critical knowledge directly to dealers and owners (including active military), resulting in 43% reduction in call volume to Technical Services. Significant improvements led to JD Power & Associates Customer Satisfaction Award.
During this 4-year period, I had the opportunity to engage with organizations in every industry. While I was focused on ITSM implementation projects, I started out doing rapid engagements and was with a new client every week. In the last year or two, I was using the ITSM platform as a tool for business automation and was solving a wide range of challenges for my clients.• Led client solution workshops (blend of ITIL best practice process and technology) and provided hands-on technical implementation and training for 100+ IT Service Management (ITSM) engagements. • Delivered training classes and 1:1 engagement mentoring for clients, partners, and independent consultants. • Established reputation for high integrity and exceptional results. Specialized in highly customized systems, challenging requirements, and successful remediation for troubled clients/systems.
