Worked directly with CEO, CMO and Executive Leadership team on internal & external communications, strategic initiatives, thought leadership, media relations, and brand visibility & reputation. Oversaw employee engagement program (#ProjectInspire), AAG Foundation and corporate giving.This resulted in AAG features in Forbes, OC Register, NY Times, and other top-tier, local and trade media, as well as numerous awards including: EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Orange County) for CEO Reza Jahangiri, North American Employee Engagement (EE) Awards, BBB Torch Award for Ethics - finalist, OC Civic 50, OC Top Workplace, among others.In mid-2022, transitioned to outside consultant advising CEO on communications issues through the eventual sale of the company to Finance of America.

Engaged as PR consultant by X Prize, a global not-for-profit organization focused on solving the world's biggest challenges through the power of competition. During this time, advised nine international teams compete to be the next global XPRIZE, as part of the XPRIZE Visioneers 2016 Summit attended by world-leading innovators, inventors, entrepreneurs, CEOs, artists and philanthropists. Advised teams on their marketing strategies, presentations, experiential room concepts and speeches. Also worked closely with Robert Weiss, a former TV and film producer, writing scripts and producing segments for the main stage. XPRIZE was founded by Peter Diamandis and has received funding from Elon Musk, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and other visionary philanthropists.

Under contract with the agency-of-record, acted as Interim Chief Communications Officer during the historic split of tech giant Hewlett-Packard Co. into two companies: HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprises. Successfully led the split of the communications function on November 1, 2015; introduced the new narrative, "Keep Reinventing," to the global communications organization, and ran corporate communications until the new CCO arrived.

Led national advocacy organization dedicated to promoting the continued growth of wind energy in the United States. Guided organization from start-up to steady-state. Established relationships with grant-making foundations, corporate and individual donors, and sponsors. Established and managed scholarship fund, managed staff and budget, as well as vendors, consultants and partners. Major accomplishments:- Led development of 3-year strategic plan; established sustainable funding model.- Worked with DOE as partner and facilitator to update the nation's wind energy plan, Wind Vision.- Provided sponsor coordination and onsite logistical support for DOE's Inaugural Collegiate Wind Competition.

Led and supported reputation, crisis, thought leadership, media and visibility campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients, including BP, DuPont, Ford, Johnson & Johnson, World Economic Forum, IHS, Cambridge Energy Research Associates (including CERAWeek), College of American Pathologists, WellPoint, LG Electronics, American Chemistry Council, Biotechnology Industry Organization, Mirant, Alstom, AbilityOne, KFC, The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, Government of Mexico, Internal Revenue Service, and others.

Headed the Tech/B2B group during the dotcom boom. Executed media campaigns for Telocity, The .tv Corp., Netflix, RespondTV, Fax4Free, The Online Asset Exchange, and others. Worked with OAE spokesperson, Lee Iacocca, to build industry confidence in using e-commerce for sales, a significant change from an era accustomed to in-person sales calls.Left Edelman for extended maternity leave, but continued as consultant to Edelman and other clients, including Captstone Turbine and newcars.com.

Held analyst, consultant and leadership positions with Washington, DC-based organizations, including Gershman, Brickner & Bratton (environmental engineering firm), National Solid Waste & Recycling Association (program manager), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (ERG/consultant). During this time, also worked as freelance writer for Forester Media, frequently publishing articles in Erosion Control, Stormwater, MSW Management, and Remediation magazines.
