I am a hands-on, goal-oriented, technical leader with more than a couple of decades of experience of working with early and mid-stage startups and large enterprises. I am currently heading Conrad Labs - a startup launchpad and digital innovation partner. At CL, we love working with startup founders (and other leaders) to help build new and interesting products.I co-founded Orange Ions in 2002 and Game Chefs in 2013 - both mobile game dev studios. Brought together awesome teams and built some interesting games, before closing the curtains on both.I've directly worked on Social Networks (Wisegate - acquired by 451 Group), CRM & Billing Management (Qtel EAI project), SSO & Password Management (IronStratus - acquired by Gemalto), IDM & Online Security (Conformity Inc.), ETL & BI (GE Commercial Finance), Shop Floor Management (GE SFM) and Game Development & ASO (Game Chefs).I have had the pleasure of working with and leading some amazing multicultural and cross functional teams (and individuals) in Lahore, Beijing, Dubai, Qatar and USA.Love traveling and playing sports.Specialties: software development, team building, tech startups, technology consulting, AWS, game development, application integration

    • Had loads of fun working with the first team and learned a thing or two from each one of them• Learned a lot of Oracle PL/SQL and a few things about querying and query optimization• With little to no experience of Java at the academic level, I can say that I learned Java on the job too• Wrote my first API wrapper in C++ to generate pdf reports and built that into a DLL. Learned a bit about calling COM automation from Java (I think we used JACOB). Incidentally, this is the only C++ experience at the professional level• Got skilled at troubleshooting my own and others' code. I ruled!• Improved my communication skills. I think!• Gained knowledge of generating and using x509 certs and forgot all about it• Was forced to use Erwin and didn't like it much. In the end, I won!• Wrote and updated tonnes of technical documents and user facing help files

    Founded this company during the last semester of undergrad as part of the Pakistan Software Export Board's GEMS-2002 incubator program.Back then when there were no iPhones and SymbionOS was just gaining traction, we built one of the first mobile game dev companies in Pakistan, with 4 co-founders. The startup didn't take off and we all moved on to find success elsewhere. In retrospect, the way the mobile apps & games industry exploded, we can proudly say that we once sat on a gold mine.Worked on the mobile version of a game called Bomberman. The original one, still one of my favorite games. Our version did not make it past the dev room but, in the name of finding features and testing we got to play both versions - a lot.
