As the leader for WSP's offshore wind engineering in the US, my goal is to establish the team as a 'Center of Excellence' in offshore engineering in WSP's global organization. I work closely with our national business line to develop and implement strategies for growth in the offshore wind market, while providing direction and leadership for offshore engineering and PM team in the US. This includes overseeing the execution of offshore wind projects, ensuring the quality of deliverables, and interfacing with clients on critical matters. I also lead and mentor a team of project managers, striving for project excellence and delivering a win-win outcome. In addition to my responsibilities for project execution, I am involved in business development efforts. I initiate and lead in-house technology development projects. In my role, I also support business unit management activities such as resource planning, hiring, training, mentoring, strategic planning, and budgeting.

As a multi-discipline engineer with a passion for offshore engineering (renewable and conventional energy), I am always eager to engage in discussions about technological, commercial, and policy issues in these industries. As a Lead Compliance Engineer, I served as the single point of contact for Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning teams for all matters related to Brazilian regulatory compliance. In this role, my responsibilities included:• Establishing a unified compliance management system and standard for regulatory deliverables across multiple sub-projects and EPCs.• Developing a project compliance plan that included monitoring and assurance activities in line with applicable Brazilian regulations (NRs, NORMAMs, ANVISA, CONAMA and others).• Supporting the licensing and permitting process by participating in authority audits and inspections.• Providing expert guidance on regulatory queries and interpreting statutory requirements in alignment with industry practice and input from authorities.• Analyzing and resolving potential conflicts between compliance and project safety philosophy, ensuring alignment with Tech Safety and Operations.

Shashikant worked at DNV for 14+ years in various roles and responsibilities. He worked on numerous floating offshore projects either as project manager or lead structural engineer. By working hands-on with multi-discipline team, Shashikant became thoroughly familiar with requirements (CFRs) of USCG, BSEE and OSHA related to offshore structures. He also has field experience in newbuilding, fabrication and commissioning of onshore and offshore facilities (both fixed and floating structures). Shashikant was the CVA Project Manager for BW Pioneer FPSO (Petrobras), the 1st Floating Production, Storage and Offloading facility in the US Gulf of Mexico. He worked with federal agencies such as BSEE and the USCG to agree on the framework for foreign flagged FPSO while meeting 30 CFR, 33 CFR and 46 CFR requirements. Shashikant worked on asset integrity program for Matterhorn TLP (Total) and incorporated DNV Class Requirements while optimizing offshore logistics and coordination. He also worked on upgrades and design verification of semi-submersibles such as Dave Beard (Noble), Henry Goodrich (Transocean) and approval-in-principle for extendable draft semi-sub (Zentech). He has delivered courses on regulatory framework for floating offshore installations (FOI) in GOM for meeting USCG / CFR requirements. Shashikant is experienced with fabrication, quayside integration and commissioning and offshore installation. He was the deputy project manager for Jangkrik FPU (Indonesia) and also field surveyor for Aasta Hansteen Spar and Hebron Topsides project in Hyundai Offshore yard in Ulsan, Korea. Shashikant has hands-on field experience in hull fabrication, marine system piping, fire-fighting and life-saving appliances, structural fire protection etc. He is Professional Engineer (PE) in 5 engineering majors: Civil, Mechanical, Naval Architecture, Marine and Fire Protection Engineering.

Highlights of my responsibilities at Hyundai Offshore Yard in Ulsan Korea:• Led the supervision and monitoring of hull structure fabrication, architectural outfitting, and mechanical testing for offshore projects including Hebron Topsides, Aasta Hansteen Spar, and Jangkrik FPU• Conducted quality assurance and control reviews, including welding procedures, welder qualifications, and non-destructive testing, for regulatory compliance in 3 mega projects• Updated commissioning method statements and participated in mechanical completion and pre-commissioning inspections as a third-party overseer• Managed effective communication and cooperation between the yard and owner's site team for 3 large-scale projects• Assessed the pressure and mechanical integrity of industrial and oil and gas facilities on-site.

Highlights of my responsibilities at M&H Energy Services: • Collaborated with multi-disciplinary designers to ensure the safety, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness of designs. Assessed and advised on the structural integrity of at-risk structures.• Designed fixed platforms and caissons to withstand dynamic, earthquake, fatigue, and complex offshore loads such as loadout, transportation, lift, float, upending, and onbottom stability for a range of water depths.• Reviewed vendor designs, analyses, and drawings for structural, facility, storage, and piping arrangements for new and existing structures.• Efficiently managed project deliverables and communicated deadlines to stakeholders such as suppliers, fabricators, installers, and operators.

• Facilitated problem-solving sessions for a class of 80 students enrolled in Structural Dynamics and Vibrations course• Graded assignments and quizzes, and provided technical guidance to a class of 100 students studying Engineering Materials• Completed offshore engineering projects, including analysis of dynamic behavior of tension leg platform, spread mooring system, and structural optimization• Conducted research in the field of structural vibration control and soil-structure interaction

• Successfully led a project team in conducting a condition assessment and real-time health monitoring of a 100-year-old multi-span bridge for Indian Railways• Conducted seismic table experiments to validate theoretical results and implemented structural vibration control using TLDs

I received DAAD* Fellowship to perform advanced research at the University of Karlsruhe in Germany (now known as the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology). During my time there, I had the opportunity to work with a talented team of researchers and PhD scholars on a joint research project between 4 European Universities.
