How many euphemisms do we have for the professional sales person? Client Consultant? Customer Advocate? Client Advisor? Results Achievement Specialist (whew!)? What a shame it is that too few sales professionals are proud to call themselves sales people. In truth, too few organizations have equipped sellers with the skills to have value-creating conversations with potential and existing clients. Too many organizations have been disappointed with the failure of sales training to raise the bar and generate results. Is it any wonder that the professional sales person is reluctant with that label. I am passionate about the nobility of the sales profession and determined to help companies raise the bar of expectation and performance. Ultimately, I believe that those in the sales profession should have the same pride of professionalism as doctors, lawyers and any other licensed professional.
