As data sourcing matured, moved into a data steward role based on previous experience and understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with Reference Data with the following responsibilities: • Became a subject matter expert in Counterparty/Client data (counterparty classification; Anti-Money Laundering, Know Your Customer) and its use (over 15M records daily, 200 unique attributes); • Gathered and submitted over one thousand documents for a regulatory exam and answered hundreds of questions which resulted in an MRA and remediated 120 exceptions arising from it in a year; • Understood and applied enterprise wide policies for compliance and risk management; • Drove Operational Excellence and continuous improvement; • Reached out across different organizations and hierarchies to better understand data; • Communicated with business partners on quality, expectations and new requirements; • Engaged with upstream partners on new requirements and remediation of data defects; • Coordinated technology releases with upstream and internal technology teams (waterfall and agile); • Championed an independent data sourcing strategy for Reference Data to ensure consistency.

Successful track record as a consultant led to full time position with additional responsibilities;• Lead the data sourcing team for all banking products (Cash and Cash Equivalents, Debt, Deposits, Loans, Intercompany Loans);• Aided in an Enterprise effort creating centralized data sources (for Deposits and Cash data) and directing their adoptions by Liquidity Reporting;• Supported additional Treasury businesses initiatives (Balance Sheet Management Net Interest Income, Funding Desk Collateral Pledging to the Federal Reserve Bank);• Drove Global Liquidity Management (GLM) and Balance Sheet Management Data Management (DM) engagement with Enterprise Data Incident Management (eDIM) tool.

Consultant for Bank of America Treasury Data Management:• Drove the sourcing strategy for Deposits data (in excess of: 64M daily records; 200 unique attributes; 15 upstream systems; 35 feeds; $1.8T in balances) in order to meet Liquidity Reporting requirements;• Provided direct support to GLM initiatives (Basel III LCR, EBA CRD-IV, FRB2052a among others), in addition to FDIC insurance calculation;• Steered routine engagement with different data providers to track projects and drive testing approach for changes in Reference Data (Counterparty and others);• Partnered in the Treasury DM adoption and management of the eDIM tool and its replacing process.

Began as an entry level business analyst, and roles were expanded as the company downsized (from $1.8B in revenue and over 1,000 head count in Corporate in 2006 to $300M and less than 100 in 2013). Roles included: o Business analyst – ad hoc analysis, budgeting, forecasting;o Accounting – controlled General Ledger accounts, prepared journal entries for closing;o Cost accounting – calculated profitability of purchase orders and revised close out orders requiring CEO approval, developed alongside IT a new pricing tool;o Internal reporting – prepared “lower of cost or market” analysis in addition to monthly and quarterly reports;o External reporting – reviewed and translated published financial statements.

Planned the annual production and purchases/shipment of over $20M in woven blankets from owned facility in Brazil and third parties in India, determined production volumes after analyzing information from sales forecasts, inventory levels and actual and future shipments. Worked in conjunction with merchandising and manufacturing to develop new products/samples in order to secure new and existing business and to ensure existing products met customers’ quality requirements.

Worked for the Integration Director as a liaison for the transfer of $1.5M in machinery to a new plant in Brazil and the subsequent annual production of $20M of woven blankets. Coordinated with contracted riggers and plant management for the disassembly of the machinery and with the shipping department and import/export department in Brazil to secure transportation and customs clearance. Checked with planning and the plant in Brazil to ensure that there would be no shortages as well as with merchandising to certify the new product matched the quality required by and delivered to the customers. Tracked the installation of the machinery, production, and shipments out of Brazil. Implemented a new planning process to improve the production of the new plant in Brazil to maintain quality and compliance.

Developed support molds used in assembly for the production line of a $5.5M a year product. Worked with plant management on the implementation of 5S and Kaizen philosophies in a selected department of the factory; these philosophies were later extended to all departments.

Served on a team research project seeking to improve the efficiency of an oil distillation column through the use of distributed heating.
