I lead a team of ambitious and innovative youths to locally design, prototype, and pilot technological innovations that have high-impact potential in Uganda and sub-Saharan African context. These innovations are either from our encounters with locals struggling with certain challenges that technology can seamlessly solve, or from a researcher, innovator or enthusiast seeking to make the world better through tech. To date we have prototyped about a dozen ideas. Among them, four have proven potential for mass impact and have attracted government financing through Makerere University Research and Innovation Fund and through the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation. The irri-kit has been pivotal in helping numerous farmers and almost all the 100+ district agricultural engineers to pivot their approach to irrigation. Project: MakSol | I led an amazing Engineering team that brought into existence the very first successful induction cooker that runs directly off a conventional solar panel (18V) and a 12V solar battery, Working with the Energy Researcher & Senior Lecturer (Dr Peter Tumutegyereize), we are lobbying for funding from the government of Uganda to industrialise the local manufacture of of this zero-emission domestic cooking appliance.

I designed a pathways to bring an impactful technology to a community that need it most.Madraam Engineers built a solar-powered ColdRoom and I created a link between the product and the people: Teso Fruit Farmers centered in Soroti district.
