My research is on the intersection of security and international development. I am researching how Heineken SA and Shell SA are contributing towards human security in the Southern African context, trough desk research and field research. As a Lecturer at a University of Applied Sciences in Rotterdam, I teach advanced techniques in safety and security. I support students in improving their study methods and developing personalized growth plans. Through a mix of lectures and practical exercises, I encourage their learning and professional growth while closely monitoring their progress and addressing any challenges they may encounter. Additionally, I collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to improve educational standards and advance security education as a whole, thereby getting grid of stereotypes of what 'insecurity' entails and let others think more broader. For the 2024-2025 academic year, in Term 2, I will be teaching Organizational Management and Organizational Understandings trough ISO's . In Term 1, I taught an intelligence and national security course titled Security in International Perspective (VIP). I also serve as the year-long tutor for a part-time, second-year class composed primarily of mid term security career professionals. Additionally, I lead a third-year module where students examine the security risks and risk expectations of AI and Big Data models in government and police applications.

In 2022, I established my second NGO with a specific focus on enhancing understanding of cyberspace, photonics, and nanotechnology among diverse audiences. At present, I am actively involved in designing projects that aim to raise awareness among policymakers, universities, and young individuals about the broader issues surrounding these domains, working accros the globe.One of my key objectives is to develop training courses that effectively disseminate knowledge and equip participants with the necessary tools to mitigate the effects associated with these fields. By doing so, I strive to contribute to a more informed and responsible use.

In this role, my primary responsibility was to conduct threat analyses on modern risks affecting knowledge and research institutions. I translated these insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for implementation. Additionally, I provided intelligence support to both the bilateral international policy team and the knowledge infrastructure team. This support involved data analysis as well as assisting in the planning and development of approaches and roadmaps for initiatives, such as building international innovation strategies and guiding infrastructure development, while mitigating associated risks.A key part of my work included contributing to a program aimed at developing policy recommendations for the diversity and inclusion team which i did as a portion of my time. This project allowed me to play an active role in advancing crucial initiatives and deepened my understanding of innovative approaches in civil service that support diversity and inclusion objectives.

In my role, I was responsible for preparing advice notes, communication plans, and project plans pertaining to two subsidy lines focused on combatting child labor and unfair mining practices. Six years ago, I founded a NGO with the aim of sharing my expertise on societal issues and creating a platform that bridges the gap between theory and practice. In this role, I take on multiple responsibilities. I serve as a project manager, designing programs from scratch and securing funding for long-term projects. These initiatives are focused on making meaningful contributions in areas such as diversity, citizenship, sustainability, and security.Additionally, I actively engage in research to better understand the problems at hand. This research allows me to develop effective policy solutions that can be implemented by various stakeholders, including NGOs, governments, and local foundations. My work extends beyond national borders, as I strive to address these issues on a European Union-wide scale.For the job, I am constantly talking to policy makers in the EU to give them requested and unrequested advise.At AWT: We empower current or aspiring advocates to become more influential in their fight for justice. We do so by offering them training and coaching opportunities that build their confidence, capacity, and competencies to speak up, lobby, and campaign for the environment, animal rights, human rights, and inclusion. They work with provinces, states, and companies, and do some EU work, as well as pursue their own independent projects.
