As a member of NEDSPICE Group's Global Executive Committee, I spearheaded the company's Vietnam operations, leading and developing an organization with more than 300 employees. Operations took place at a state-of-the-art spice processing factory, running 3 shifts per day, year-round 24/7, totaling a yearly output of typically 11-13,000 metric tons processed single-spices. Main products were ground or cracked Pepper (black or white), Nutmeg and Ginger.Producing 'to-order' a range of 10-15 different spices per month for renowned international ingredient companies and food processors, I was responsible for the company upholding the strictest of quality standards. Standards tied to a number of internationally recognized quality certifications, maintained and deployed with strong integration between both Production, Procurement and the company's QA/QC department.In close conjunction with NEDSPICE Group's Director of Processing, and in collaboration with NEDSPICE's commercial teams in Europe, USA and India in part, I was during the past years one of the key contributors on driving forward significant capacity- and output-increases and a strengthening of the company's Asia-sales, while also being responsible in Vietnam for Procurement, Logistics, QA/QC, HR, IT and Finance, including legal matters and local banking relations.Under the umbrella of NEDSPICE's Farmers Partnership Programme (NFPP) and in association with IDH's Sustainable Spice Initiative (SSI), I led together with our local management-team a project on developing Vietnam's first foreign Sustainable Pepper under Rainforest Alliance certification. At the core of this project, we worked with an own established network of approximately 700 farmers organized into 25 farmer-clubs in Vietnam's renowned high-quality pepper province of Binh Phuoc.

Under the umbrella of Tropicdane Group, mainly led 3 legally independent Vietnam-based companies with 600-900 employees in Global Head Office and 3 Factories, producing and delivering ceramics pottery and outdoor wood furniture to customers primarily in Europe and U.S.A..Major Achievements:During a challenging time, managed to improve and stabilize company’s financial situation, mainly by re-structuring the Group's companies and buying out 2 foreign partners in 2 of the Group's joint-ventures -- eventually leading to the Group being owned by one sole, private owner.

As 'General Director':- Overall responsible for operation with 4,300+ employees, sited in 2 factories, 1 Vietnam Local Sales office, 4 Branch offices and distribution into 40+ Boutiques/Image Stores and 1000+ retail outlets. - At overall company level, also responsible for Finance, Legal, General Affairs and IT. As 'General Manager Sales & Administration':- Direct responsible for Vietnam Sales & Marketing-/Branding-activities and belonging Distribution/Market-penetration.. Major Achievements: - Oversaw recruitment of and led efforts to assimilate 800 new Production- and Sales & Marketing/Distribution-employees over a period of 3 years. - Obtained the first 50-years business license for a 100% foreign company in Vietnam, in 2002.- Strengthened local market-leadership with more than 75% growth in 3 years. - Developed Vietnam’s largest foreign network of Boutiques/Image Stores. - Company receiving 'Vietnam Prime Minister’s Award' in 2004 and Golden Dragons in 2003 and 2004.

Acted as 'Order Communications & Coordinations Hub'; for Purchasing, Production Planning and Import/Export departments; consolidating and exchanging logistics/deilivery information and updates with Regional Head Office in Hong Kong and/or directly with selected 3rd party customers. Major Achievements: - Set up 'Merchandise & Production Coordination'-department, and localizing it after 3.5 years at the time of being promoted (see above experience)..

Handling imports for weekly truck & wagon LCL-consolidation routes from France & Italy.
