I worked on developing an economically feasible process for the purification of leaf/grass proteins in collaboration with the Danish food tech company BiomassProtein. This would essentially turn something that today can only be fed to cattle into a valuable food product for a more sustainable future.Splitting the proteins from the leaves involved developing and designing a chain of chemical separation based on membrane filtration. This was done from scratch.
