Hi, my name is Sofia Alarcón. I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. I'm a food photographer, food stylist and trained chef with over 6 years of experience in the industry. I have worked with world renown brands such as Nestlé, KFC, Royal, SunButter and Juan Valdez, among others. In 2021, I relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia with my husband. As is often the case with big life changes, the transition has been challenging, but I am thrilled about the opportunity to bring my experience, creativity and passion to this new market. I have always been deeply passionate about fresh, healthy food and its role in not just nourishing us but also in reducing food waste and combating climate change. I strongly believe that fresh and healthy eating can go hand in hand with sustainability, and that encouraging the consumption of fresh produce and finding innovative ways to repurpose leftover or imperfect ingredients is key to a sustainable food future.
