I am currently a third-year college student pursuing my bachelor's in psychology at San Jose State. I am hoping to get my master's in psychology after college as well. I am very driven to work in the behavioral and cognitive field. Clinical and personality psychology have sparked my interest as well. With the increasing prevalence of mental health issues, my goal one day is to change someone's life as my psychologist did mine. I am a very socially outgoing person, and I love conversing with new people. As of now, I am currently working a retail job as a sales associate. Retail experience helped me to expand my confidence in the work field and helped me build basic customer service benefits and skills. I was also a dance instructor. This job helped me strengthen communication between both adults and children. Currently, i’m a part of a sorority at San Jose State, and I held a position in the house as “Director of Event Planning.” I planned events formal, community, and social events for my house. It was a great experience as I’ve gotten to view venues, speak with event planners, and book those spaces for my sorority formals. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, and for that I’m very grateful.

During my short time here, I learned how to restock inventory, set up merchandise, and assist customers with their questions, comments, and needs. I am a very social person, and for me it was very easy to talk to new people and help them out. I also love style and clothes, so when customers asked for recommendations I was always excited to share my thoughts! Sadly, even though it was seasonal, It got shut down early for covid.
