Hello my name is Sofie Capdevila and I am a proud Cal State Monterey Bay University alumni. Throughout my time in graduate school, I not only deeply developed my academic and clinical skills but I also cultivated resilience, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of myself and others. Engaging in rigorous coursework and hands-on clinical experiences pushed me to confront challenges head-on and refine my problem-solving abilities. The diverse perspectives of my peers and mentors enriched my own outlook, fostering empathy and a greater appreciation for diversity. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse caseload of clients across a multitude of settings including schools, private practice, outpatient, acute care, assisted living, and community clinics. These experiences have given me a comprehensive understanding of the meaningful work speech language pathologists do in improving the quality of life for others. I believe in person centered care and strive to tailor to the unique and complex needs of those whom I work with. I am committed to continuing to grow in my learning and professionalism. I am excited to be completing my clinical fellowship with Select Rehabilitation at Belmont Village Senior Living Rancho Palos Verdes and Silverado Beach Cities Memory Care Community!
