Sofia Cuello Email and Phone Number

I am a Senior Pre-med Biology Honors student at the University of Tampa. I spent the Fall '23 completing two tutorials at Oxford University in England through the Oxford Study Abroad Program (OSAP). Since my time at Oxford, I am continuing my Honors thesis in oncology with aims to defend and publish by 2025. Currently, I am the lead student researcher for the Molecular Pathways and Genomics Lab (MPG) under Dr. Dobrinski at UT, researching antioxidant treatments on drug resistant breast cancer. Additionally, I am a member of Dr. Aguado Loi's lab here at UT, where I am researching Latina breast cancer survivorship. I also spent the Summer '24 interning at Moffitt Cancer Center in Dr. Raghunand's lab in the department of Cancer Metabolism and Physiology. My postgraduate plans lie in either the pursuit of an MD or PhD. My interest and experience is in biomedical science with a focus in oncology, and I am open to all opportunities. I have skills in wet lab, including cell culture and PCR, and dry lab, including scientific writing and R software statistical analysis.
