As part of my PhD project I am a member of a thematic Working Group (Comité d’appui thématique à la formulation des recommandations alimentaires pour les parents d’enfants âgés de moins de 3 ans) and with experts in infant nutrition we are working on the following objectives:1. formulate educational advice (based on new ANSES report) on complementary feeding practices for parents of children aged at least 4 months;2. support Santè publique France in formulating new recommendations intended for parents of children aged 0 to 3 years who are acceptable and easily understood, targeting all the population;3. define the appropriate tools and information channels to deliver the recommendations;4. reflect on the preparation of the qualitative and quantitative studies necessary to test the new recommendations (in form of health messages) with parents of children aged less than 3 years.

As a grant officer I offered technical assistance to researchers, supporting them with:- identification of funding opportunities (analysis of open calls and pre-selection of opportunities, participation in informative meetings of the various community programs and other networking meetings);- assistance during the design phase of research projects (budget definition, management of relations with the stakeholders);- project management (internal administrative obligations, monitoring and evaluation of the project) ;- dissemination of results.Moreover I support activities like:- the internationalization of the Institute;- promotion of networking activities at international level;- promotion and logistic organization of international scientific events and consortium meeting;- organization of training activities for researchers.

I worked on a project of scientific communication with the final goal of making accessible to the public, through the use of illustrations and simple texts, scientific concepts that the population generally struggles to understand and perceive as abstract. The project is called: “L’oncologia spiegata: la ricerca a vignette” and it will be distributed (in form of booklets) in the Italian supermarkets at the beginning of 2019 (Alì and Despar shop around Padua in Italy).I developed the scientific content of those booklets, translating what was mainly coming from the scientific peer reviewed papers into metaphors, finding easy words to explain difficult concepts. The main goal of the project is to make the general population understand how research works, giving also some hints on primary prevention of chronic diseases, and especially cancer.

PROJECT: Profiling iodine status and thyroid function of school-age children (SAC) living in an area of excessive iodine intake.Laboratory analysis:- determine the thyroglobulin concentration on dried blood spot from SAC samples made in Kenya and Tanzania using sandwich-ELISA-assay;- perform Sandell-Kolthoff reaction to determin iodine concentration in water, salt and urine.Data-entry and data analysis using Excel, analyses with IBM-SPSS
