Sofia Del Real grew up in the East Bay and comes from a big family. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She developed an interest in art after receiving an art kit on her 5th birthday. Her interest in art grew as she got older, it was then that she realized that the fashion industry would allow her artistic expression as a career which led her to FIDM. In 2012, while she received her AA in visual communications, she learned additional skills to ensure her success as a professional in the event planning industry. The courses in the AA program included: styling, materials and props and drafting techniques. After working at JCPenney for three years she realized that she needed a Bachelor of Science in Business Management to get ahead. Sofia enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Business Management to expand her qualifications. At FIDM she learned Adobe photoshop and illustrator, microsoft office and Google suite. In the future, she would like to pursue a career in event planning and production.
