I was committed in a research project with the aim to extract and analyze natural dyes in natural fibers. I acquired knowledge of different analytical methodologies, including extraction methods, performed stability, physical and chemical analysis of extracted dyes.

I did an internship as part of the program of the Portuguese Youth Foundation (PEJENE) on a dynamic team learning and applying biotechnology techniques (micropropagation, germoplasm conservation and in vitro cultures) for the production and maintenance of commercial added-value plants. This experience allowed me to get to know the portuguese biotechnological industry, business work carried out and the importance of teamwork and persistance to attain the pretended results.
