My responsibilities include working towards our security audits, which enabled us to receive our SOC2 type I and II clean reports as of December 2024. I worked as the Compliance Manager at BetConnect (gambling start up), within the newly founded compliance team. This was a newly created as the company became regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. I monitored payments and accounts made by new and existing customers. I haveworked to create all compliance processes and policies from scratch and work with developersto create automated procedures to reduce money laundering risks.Main achievements included creating KYC/KYB processes, creating and developing compliance policies and procedures, as well as managing both customer and corporate accounts alongside verification tools.

The aim of this work was to train and assist industry employees in spotting problem gambling, how to handle responsible gambling conversations and how to run their business with total compliance.My main achievements included producing and delivering training on safety and compliance to over 200 professionals at one time. I would also work with large, household names promoting safer gambling and compliance. I also worked closely with other finance professionals (eg banking, credit unions) on how to keep their customers safe.

The role of Young Carers Support Worker operated within the Young Carers team which sits under the Essex Youth Service. My role as a Young Carers Support Worker involved both one to one key work as well as offering group respite and training opportunities to young carers over west Essex. My main accomplishment within this role was increasing the awareness of the Young Carers support service within west Essex schools, which enabled me to offer support to over 40 young people in an educational setting.
