Worked for the Watkins lab which focused on central nervous system axon regeneration. I worked closely with a post-doctoral fellow to develop a novel system for the selective stabilization of key proteins involved in neuronal stress response pathways using small molecule drugs. I handled laboratory mice, performed transfections in stable cell lines, and used molecular cloning to create our desired constructs.

Worked as an intern in the Angelaki lab. Trained rhesus macaque monkeys in motion discrimination tasks, cluster sorted through data from subcortical neuron recordings, analyzed behavioral and neuronal activity to determine cell tuning and correlation with behavior, and conducted subcortical U-Probe recordings.
