I am a dedicated social service worker who is specialized in addictions and mental health. I have strong teamwork skills and have experience working in multi-disciplinary teams in a long-term care setting. I also have experience being a facilitator for sexual abuse survivors and substance use groups.I have a passion for working with individuals who are marginalized and stigmatized by society. I have worked in a variety of roles assisting individuals with mental health and addiction concerns. I have also worked with seniors and formerly incarcerated folks who are reintegrating into society.Over the course of my education I have had the opportunity to complete three placements and took a year and a half to work in a long-term care setting. I have a wide variety of experience working with vulnerable peoples and would like to expand my experience working with those facing substance use and mental health challenges.
